The Provincial Museum of Celje (PMC), The Museum of Contemporary History Celje (MnZC) and The Slovenian Ethnographic Museum (SEM) are preparing an inter-institutional project, a temporary exhibition Alma Maksimilijana Karlin - Writer.
The exhibition will shed light on the literary career of Alma M. Karlin and its interweaving in time and space. The title is the title of Alma's original card with which she introduced herself and reflects her main goal in life - writing. The exhibition builds on highlighted quotes from her books to interrogate the pervasive issues of power positions, the role of traditions, gender issues and social inequalities.
The exhibition was made possible by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia, the Municipality of Celje, the Public Book Agency, the Haus am Dom - Catholic Academy Rabanus Maurus, the Regional Museum Celje, the Museum of Contemporary History Celje and the Slovenian Ethnographic Museum.
