Reading as part of DonnerSzenen: Aleš Šteger

The poems in the volume "Breath Protocols" are evidence of a journey into the interior that the Slovenian writer Aleš Šteger embarked on in the summer of 2018. Without the intention of writing anything literary, poems emerge within three days and nights that revolve around being and passing away and pursue the question of why everything ultimately falls apart in the processes of the everyday and the superficial. The poems tell small, intimate stories or ask pressing questions of our time in the hope that they will touch our vulnerability.

Aleš Šteger is the best-known Slovenian author of his generation and lives in Ljubljana.

The event takes place in cooperation with the Slovenian Cultural Information Center in Vienna (short: SKICA).
